The most common issues can be solved by updating the driver software for your graphics card and installing the latest version of DirectX. To do these please follow the instructions below:

 



Vista Compatibility Update

Important update to enable program to work properly under Windows Vista. Also, minor maintenance release items were addressed.

This update resolves the Run Time Error 339 MCIWNDX.OCX error message received when running the program.

Whenever I run the Professor Teaches Training Products I receive a "Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set" How can I fix this error?

Please click start and run

For Windows 95/98/ME/XP type: Regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\scrrun.dll and click on OK

For Windows NT/2000 type: Regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\scrrun.dll and click on OK



Whenever I run the Professor Teaches Training Products I get the 'Windows Error - Program Closing' referring to quartz.dll error

Steps resolve:
1. Go to C:\windows
2. Locate regsvr32
3. Right Click on regsvr32 and click on properties
4. Click Compatibility tab, check run as administrator, click OK
5. Copy Regsvr32 to desktop (for ease of access)
6. Open System32 folder
7. Locate file "quartz.dll"
8. Drag and drop file "quartz.dll" on regsvr32 on the desktop
9. Click Allow
10. Should get a box that has a blue circle object and a OK button. Click OK

This should register that file.

Another way, for Vista users, is to turn off UAC and follow the original steps given. You must ensure to turn UAC back on when the steps are complete.




I have Professor Teaches Publisher 2007, but it doesn't appear to have the Professor Answers module.

Steps resolve:

  1. Download this patch (3.6Mb)
  2. When the file has finished downloading, double-click on it and follow the installation instructions.
  3. Once the file has finished installing, you can run your Professor Teaches Publisher 2007 and the Professor Answers module will now be available.
